Tri-Star Woodworks now resides in Canmore but initially started out in Medicine Hat by Emile Michaud in the early 80’s. From there the company made its way out west to Kelowna B.C. After several years in Kelowna another move was made to Canmore Alberta in 1996. Eventually Emile’s son CY Michaud and nephew Dustin Purdue took over the business in 2004. Tri-Stars main focus at that time was custom finishing. From there they continued to keep that focus but expanded their business to custom stairs and railings, precision cabinetry as well as beautiful furniture pieces.
Today we have a full woodworking shop located in the downtown industrial area of Canmore with a team of 15 dedicated and experienced carpenters and cabinet makers. Over the years we have developed a strong relationship with such builders as Spring Creek Mountain Village, Distinctive Homes, Koronko Custom Homes and Elk Run Custom Homes to name a few.
In 2019 long time employee Ryan Precourt joined Tri-Star Woodworks and Cy MIchaud has moved on to enjoy his retirement. Tri-Star Woodworks takes pride in every job we do no matter how big or small the project is and always stand by their work.
