Tri-Star Woodworks has a wide range of services in and around the entire Bow Valley. From high end kitchens, closets, built in units, custom stairs and raiings as well as all your finishing needs such as hanging and casing doors and windows. We have an extensive understanding of different species of wood and the methods of installation that gives homeowners and builders alike the confidence to use our company. We also have a full paint booth in our shop to give your custom project the highest standards of finishing to really make your piece stand out.
Tri-Star Woodworks initially started out in Medicine Hat by Emile Michaud in the early 80’s. From there the company made its way out west to Kelowna B.C. After several years in Kelowna another move was made to Canmore Alberta in 1996. Eventually Emile’s son CY Michaud and nephew Dustin Purdue took over the business in 2004. Tri-Stars main focus at that time was custom finishing. From there they continued to keep that focus but expanded their business to custom stairs and railings, precision cabinetry as well as beautiful furniture pieces.
Today we have a full woodworking shop located in the downtown industrial area with a team of 15 dedicated and experienced carpenters and cabinet makers. Over the years we have developed a strong relationship with such builders as Spring Creek Mountain Village, Distinctive homes, Koronko Custom Homes and Elk Run Custom Homes to name a few.
In 2019 long time employee Ryan Precourt joined Tri-Star Woodworks and Cy MIchaud has moved on to enjoy his retirement. Tri-Star Woodworks takes pride in every job we do no matter how big or small the project is and always stands by their work.
